Upgrades Completed
The server upgrades have been completed. If you are having issues connecting to your server, you can add the direct IP (174.133.216.35 - ventrilo or 174.133.216.36 - teamspeak) with your port and you should have no issues connecting. if you require further assistance please submit a support ticket.

Ventrilo & Teamspeak Upgrades
On Saturday June 28th, 2008 we will be adding/upgrading our Ventrilo & Teamspeak servers. During this upgrade the servers will not be shut down but new ones put up. What this means is all of the files on both machines will be transferred over to the new server. We will then update the DNS (ventrilo.deadlyservers.com & teamspeak.deadlyservers.com). You will not have to do anything on your end, Over the next 1-48 hours, you will be automatically redirected to the new servers. If you have any questions or have any issues during the upgrade process please submit a support ticket.

Weekened Outage
On Saturday May 31st at 4:55pm CDT the datacenter that hosts our servers suffered from an electrical short, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding the electrical equipment room. This was cause from a short in a high-volume wire conduit. Our NOC was not allowed to activate its backup generators based on instructions from the fire department. Power has been fully restored to backup generators as of June 2nd however. As a result of this it caused our company to suffer from an unavoidable down time. Services should be fully restored across our site and network. If you are having any issues please submit a support ticket or call our toll free number.

Customers who were directed to connect to their ventrilo services via ventrilo.deadlyservers.net can now revert back to ventrilo.deadlyservers.com if they wish. On another note we have updated our company contact information with a toll free telephone number. Please be sure to check out the Information/Contact link to update your records for future references.

This now leaves us facing step two of repair process, which requires getting all of the equipment delivered and then rebuilding the electrical room to its original standard. To make the cutover to the rebuilt electrical room, the operations group believed it would take a maintenance outage of 24-48 hours. I have good news on that front. It's not perfect, but at present we now believe the maintenance window will be just 4-6 hours. That's still too long, and we will continue this week to find ways to reduce the time. Given that there will be some outage for the cutover, we will execute this step at midnight on a Saturday, either June 7 or June 14. We want to pick the most appropriate time to minimize impact to you.

Ventrilo Server Upgrades - Downtime
DeadlyServers will be performing some server upgrades to our Ventrilo servers on Feb 23rd 2008 at 1:00 am (Friday/Saturday). This will cause a brief service interruption for most of our clients on the ventrilo.deadlyservers.com network. During this downtime you will be unable to connect to your ventrilo servers. During this upgrade we will be switching some of our IPs as our provider will no longer be using them and requested we return them. You should have no issues connecting to ventrilo with the new IP. We will be masking it so it points to ventrilo.deadlyservers.com as it does now. If for some reason you cannot connect to the ventrilo server after the upgrade, you can temporally use the IP until the DNS updates. The temporary IP will be 75.125.157.211. This is the IP you will use if ventrilo.deadlyservers.com does not direct you to the new IP instantly. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to call or email us. Once the upgrades are completed you will also receive an email stating so as well.

Webserver Upgrades

Email Server Migration/Live Chat
We are in the process of migrating our email servers. During this process mail might not be delivered to our departments for some time. If you need help you can always use the helpdesk on our site or the live chat as well as the phone support. This migration can take up to 24 hours to propagate across the net.
